We have place an average of more than 400 students into work-based learning opportunities sponsored by more than 280 regional businesses. Catawba Valley Medical Center
Since 1967, Catawba Valley Medical Center has built strong relationships with the people, businesses and communities throughout the Catawba Valley. McCreary Modern is Employee (ESOP) and privately owned company. Bob and Michele McCreary who started the company over 25 years ago continue to be actively involved in the business. Since the very beginning, there philosophies have reflected a family approach to managing the company. Key strategies include providing a safe, competitive and engaged work force that is empowered to produce outstanding products of exceptional quality.
Bench made upholstered and occasional products are produced in North Carolina in one of three factories located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Since 1949 the family-owned company of Pöppelmann, with its five production sites and 450 injection molding machines, thermoforming lines and extruders, has grown into a leading manufacturer in the plastics processing industry. The SARSTEDT Group develops, manufactures and sells equipment and consumables in the field of medicine and science. Ever since it was set up in 1961 the company has continued to grow to the point where it now employs a workforce of 2,500.

Sutter Street Manufacturing in Claremont, NC is Williams-Sonoma existing U.S. furniture production subsidiary. Originally opened in 2007, it employs 300, with production centered around upholstering. Plans were announced in 2008 to create 820 jobs and invest $2.7 million in the plant.
